The assembly instructions were straight forward and easy to follow (though the protective film on the heat reflector was a bit troublesome to remove). This was a Christmas gift, primarily for my wife when she and friends are out on our patio in the evenings (when chilly or flat out cold). What I was most impressed with is the amount of heat generated from this lamp. When set on medium (and with the temperature around 40° on Christmas Eve night) the temperature around the lamp was very comfortable, out to a distance of 5-8 feet.We have seen these heat lamps used in the outside patios, at some of our favorite restaurants and were a bit giddy, wondering if this lamp would be just as effective. Well.. It is! Additionally, I found the price to be just as attractive as I had priced comparable units and found them to be significantly higher. We have used this heat lamp about a dozen times since Christmas and have yet to exhaust the propane bottle…
