Design fault These pruners suffer from a design fault. They broke after 2 mins of opening the package when used on 1/2″ branches. The bolt that is the pivot and holds the 2 blades together is screwed into plastic which can break easily if the blade is twisted, typical of when not cutting the branch at 90deg. I am fairly handy so rather than returning it, I drilled out the plastic thread so I could put 1/4-20 bolt through and the pruner now works ok, but this probably is not what most people want. Surprising…
